Company Overview
In 2010, Scott Jacobs had helped a number of friends grow their businesses through implementing marketing and sales strategies. Around the same time, he was working with people to refine their resumes and helping them find their dream jobs. His wife wondered “why aren’t you doing this for a living?” He could not find a reason. In fact, he had discovered for himself the perfect intersection of experience, talent and passion he had been enthusiastically helping others find.
Since the start, Scott’s company has advised small businesses and professionals on discovering and leveraging their strengths to generate desired results. Jacobs Strategic Group’s business acumen was developed through Scott’s 20 years of sales, marketing, business development and hiring experience with industry leaders such as Procter & Gamble, Spalding Sporting Goods, K2, Intuit, Navex Global, Axiom EPM and Wolters Kluwer.
Through all those years in sales; marketing and business development; leadership in consumer product businesses; and software technology, along with his own proprietary methods for guiding and educating his clients, Scott Jacobs has developed a valuable blend of proven, practical experience and formal academic principles to apply to your business or career.

Scott Jacobs’ Story
Scott moved to the Portland area at age five from California. He married his college sweetheart soon after graduating from University of Portland. They moved to Minnesota where they raised four children while attending graduate school. After 20 years in the mid-west they returned to their beloved Portland, where they enjoy cooking, traveling, racquet and paddle sports as well as working out.
Professionally, Scott is an accomplished sales, marketing and business operations executive who relishes the opportunity to elevate companies and careers. Scott has a track record of success as a leader in building/developing businesses. As a business adviser he has worked on critical business and leadership succession planning to make the transition less disruptive for the organization. culture and their employees.
Scott is also a talented career coach and mentor who leverages people’s individual skills to advance careers or improve business results. Whether it is finding that new rewarding job or making a total career pivot Scott is there to support and advise you through this challenging process.
Scott earned his MBA from University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis and his BA from the University of Portland.
